Curriculum Framework

As a part of their changes to educations in the early years (Universal Access, School Statements), the government has introduced a curriculum framework for children from birth to 8 years of age. The framework will be used to bring together long day care, kindergarten and primary to allow for smoother transitions between the services. The frame work is made up of 5 outcomes. They are:-

1.       Children have a strong sense of identity (identity)

2.       Children are connected with and contribute to their world (community)

3.       Children have a strong sense of wellbeing (wellbeing)

4.       Children are confident and involved learners (learning)

5.       Children are effective communicators (communication).
