The aim for the Kookaburra Room is to provide the resources for the children to freely access which will encourage them to think, learn, wonder and ask questions about their world, the world around them and the wider community.
Through play plased learning, self selection and self regulation the children will learn life long skills which will enable them to problem solve, negotiate, be effective communicators and be considerate of others.
The new Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and Emergent Curriculum are used to plan, implement and evaluate a stimulating and inclusive program. Children are given enough time to develop and master many skills that will assist them to be responsible, resilient and confident young people, ready to face the world with many challenges and joys.
